Transdev in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced A-Level Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of engines across vehicles and equipment. You will help ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity of assets while collaborating with a skilled team in a dynamic transit environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanic.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Lead diagnostic tests and develop repair strategies for engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and engine overhauls as needed.
  • Provide guidance to junior technicians and mentor them.

Maintenance Technician A (III)

Transdev in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced A-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

Transdev is proud to offer:
  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $25.50/hr – maximum $31.75/hr
  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days
  • Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating
  • Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.
  • Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on a variety of engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
