Job summary

Liberty Waste Solutions in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic for full-time shop work to support our truck fleet. Salary is hourly, with $32.00 to $40.00 per hour.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, plus welding/fabrication as a plus. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications, with 4+ years of experience preferred.

DIESEL TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC

Immediately hiring Permanent-Full Time Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Liberty Waste Solutions :

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, chassis, bodies, and other heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.
• Repair company equipment in shop, and on-road service.
• Use electronic tools to identify malfunctions.
• Welding and fabrication skills a plus

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Advanced analytical and repair skills
• Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience
• Must have basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• M ust be reliable and punctual
• Demonstrate ability to coach/mentor/influence others
