Job summary

Juniper is seeking a Mechanic to perform service and repairs on our truck fleet, including diesel engines, as well as small engine equipment for our landscape operations team in Ocala, Florida.

This role requires hands-on repair experience, ability to document work electronically, and proficiency with computer software. You must have a valid driver's license with clean MVR; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required; be prepared for outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Small engine repair and maintenance experience required.
• 2-cycle engine repair and maintenance experience required.
• Light truck repair/maintenance experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and other computer software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear MVR.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment accurately and safely.
• Document all work electronically per unit.
• Use computer software for record keeping.
• Order and maintain shop inventory.
• Clean repaired items before return to crew.
• Keep work area and shop common areas clean and organized.

This position will be responsible for performing service and repairs on our truck fleet (including diesel engines), small engine equipment, and 2-cycle engines for our landscape operations team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair of trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment correctly, safely, and efficiently
• Accurately document all work performed to each unit electronically
• Utilize computer software for record keeping
• Order and maintain inventory of all shop supplies/equipment
• Clean repaired items prior to returning for crew use
• Keep work area and shop common areas clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Requirements

• Small Engine repair/maintenance experience required
• 2-cycle engine repair/maintenance experience required
• Light Truck repair/maintenance experience preferred
• Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including MS Office
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Report review required
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
• Ability to work in fast pace environment.
• Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
