Job summary

Juniper is seeking a Mechanic in Fort Lauderdale to service and repair our truck fleet, including diesel engines, as well as small engine equipment and 2-cycle engines for our landscape operations team.

The role includes documenting work electronically, using computer software for records, and maintaining shop inventory. We seek candidates with small/2-cycle engine experience, MS Office proficiency, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Small engine repair and 2-cycle engine repair experience required.
• Light truck repair experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related computer software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear MVR review.
• Ability to read and write English; bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
• Document all work performed for each unit electronically.
• Use computer software for record keeping.
• Order and maintain inventory of shop supplies/equipment.
• Clean repaired items before returning to crew.

Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a Mechanic to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing service and repairs on our truck fleet (including diesel engines), small engine equipment, and 2-cycle engines for our landscape operations team.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Repair of trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment correctly, safely, and efficiently
• Accurately document all work performed to each unit electronically
• Utilize computer software for record keeping
• Order and maintain inventory of all shop supplies/equipment
• Clean repaired items prior to returning for crew use
• Keep work area and shop common areas clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills And Requirements

• Small Engine repair/maintenance experience required
• 2-cycle engine repair/maintenance experience required
• Light Truck repair/maintenance experience preferred
• Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including MS Office
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Report review required
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
• Ability to work in fast pace environment.
• Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
