Job summary

Shiseido Americas is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support daily production packaging and manufacturing operations. You will maintain equipment in good working order and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will perform changeovers, troubleshoot lines, and conduct preventive maintenance while contributing to OEE improvements. A strong mechanical background and PLC/electrical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a GMP environment (cosmetics, pharma or related).
• Mechanical background with knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with packaging filling and assembly equipment; bulk manufacturing experience a plus.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience and PLC programming knowledge.
• Good English communication, both written and verbal.
• Positive leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Set-ups or product changeovers to support daily production schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair production lines to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on packaging and batching equipment.
• Contribute to measuring and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Communicate effectively with peers and management to meet goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment and uphold safety certifications and lockout/tagout.

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the 2ndShiftMaintenance Mechanic is to effectively support daily production packaging or manufacturing operations and to maintain equipment in proper working order.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• You will perform set-ups or product changeovers of equipment when necessary to support the daily Production schedule.
• You will troubleshoot and repair Production packaging lines in an efficient and safe manner as needed to minimize downtime.
• You will perform preventative or predictive maintenance program for Production filing and packaging equipment and/or Bulk Manufacturing batching (compounding) equipment and complete necessary documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• You will support efforts to measure and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for primary filling and packaging equipment.
• You will provide effective communication with peers and management, ensure company goals and objectives are supported.
• You will facilitate and support a safe working environment and maintain all safety certifications and training requirements, including lock-out/tag-out.
• You will perform other related duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE

• You are a High School graduate with a trade school, vocational school, or apprentice program training.
• You are experienced with 7+ years in a GMP environment required (cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, food industry, or related consumer goods)
• You have a mechanical background for mechanical repair, with advanced knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
• You have familiarity with packaging filling and assembly equipment. Familiarity with bulk manufacturing (batching) equipment is a plus.
• You have working knowledge for troubleshooting electrical systems.
• You have working knowledge for PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• You have a working knowledge of basic machine shop equipment.
• You can communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• You are a positive leader with interpersonal skills

The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, education, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, including a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
