The auto mechanic will maintain school buses and other automotive vehicles to provide safe transportation and working conditions for students and employees.
High school diploma or equivalent. Specialized training or trade school in automotive, truck, and school bus maintenance and repair.
Arizona Class B commercial license and School Bus Drivers' certificate with good driving record.
One to three years of experience in maintenance and repair, including engine overhaul, vehicle electrical systems, carburetor work, and brake overhaul for hydraulic and air brakes.
The working environment may include working outdoors and in shop/garage structures where fumes, vapors, grease, oil, noise, and dust is prevalent.
Twelve-month year, Classified Hourly Salary Schedule, employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on evaluation of classified staff.
