Job summary

AB Corporate is seeking a qualified maintenance technician in the United States to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair packaging machinery and equipment, ensuring readiness for production.

You will perform routine maintenance, support large projects, and handle changeovers for varying container sizes, while contributing to facility repairs and related mechanical work.

Qualifications

• Degree from technical school; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs and tests new parts on packaging machinery before release to production.
• Troubleshoots and repairs problems on all equipment.
• Maintains and repairs mechanical equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with performance specifications.
• Analyze production to anticipate problems and take proactive corrective actions.
• Investigates equipment failures and diagnoses faulty operation; makes recommendations.
• Modifies machinery for various container sizes.
• Work with teams on large projects to complete projects on time.
• Changeover and set up packaging equipment for various sizes and future equipment.
• Performs maintenance and alterations of buildings, grounds and equipment including carpentry, painting, masonry and related mechanical systems work.
• Performs other related responsibilities in support of Facilities.

Job description

• Installs new parts on packaging machinery and equipment and tests before releasing back to production. Troubleshoots and repairs problems on all equipment
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of mechanical principles.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with performance specifications.
• Analyze production to anticipate future problems to take proactive corrective measures. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
• Modify machinery as needed for various size containers.
• Work with teams for large projects to complete projects on time.
• Changeover and set up packaging equipment for various sizes to also include future packaging equipment.
• Perform regular repairs in the maintenance and alteration of buildings, grounds and equipment: includes troubleshooting, painting, carpentry, masonry and similar construction/ mechanical systems type work, etc.
• Performs other related responsibilities as assigned and/or required in the support of the Facilities
