Job summary

Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Savage, MN seeks a skilled maintenance mechanic for a 6 PM–6 AM rotating shift (2-2-3). Starting pay is $35.53/hour plus $1.00 night shift differential, with overtime available and a robust benefits package.

You will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain high-speed can line equipment, perform quality PCPs, and work with management to improve safety, quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• 2+ years of mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical diagram knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, construct, install, and maintain production equipment.
• Perform quality PCPs on cupper, BMs, trimmers, flanger, beader, tester, spray machines, inspection cameras, video jets, and IBOs.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to maintain a high-speed can manufacturing line.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all mechanical systems.
• Use precision measuring tools and work with tolerances up to .00010.
• Collaborate with management to improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Complete assigned SOPs and documents.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Shift: 6PM - 6AMand Rotating (2-2-3 shift)
