Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Mechanic Helper to support fleet maintenance in Bexar County, Texas. You will perform vehicle and equipment repairs and must provide your own basic mechanic tools.

Required: 5 years of repair experience, valid license, safety awareness, and ability to work on-call. Background checks and drug testing are part of the process.

Qualifications

• 5 years of repair and maintenance experience of automotive and mechanical equipment.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and knowledge of local driving rules.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and use technology.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and using hand/power tools.

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time General Mechanic Helper who will be supporting fleet in Bexar County, Texas. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Employee must be able to provide their own set of basic mechanic’s tools.

Required Experience

5 years of repair and maintenance experience of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment

Preferred Experience

• General Mechanic, helper
• Vocational training and/or technical certificate or equivalent

Clean driving record is essential

Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications

Schedule

Full time; Monday-Friday and on-call. Must be flexible and able to work during weather events.
