Job summary

Lime is seeking a Mechanic to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles in Raleigh. This on-site role focuses on routine maintenance, safety checks, and rapid repairs to maximize uptime across the fleet.

You’ll handle battery operations, documentation, and component replacements to keep our e-bikes and e-scooters in top condition. Ideal candidates are 18+, with mechanical experience, able to lift 65 lbs, and comfortable using pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a similar industry preferred.

• Knowledge of cell phone apps; iOS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational compliance of fleet and complete quality checks for deployment.
• Perform repairs from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacement.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure Lime riders use safe vehicles.
• Manage battery operations including inspection, rotation, and check-in/out.
• Document completed quality checks for vehicles and parts.
• Support inventory management and tool/parts/vehicle organization.
• May assist with tire maintenance such as changes or inflation.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards in the warehouse.
• Maximize operational vehicles by finishing tasks efficiently.
• Operate a pallet jack or push cart safely.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

We are looking for Mechanics to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles. This role is ideal for mechanically-inclined operations professionals that want to broaden and build their career experiences. Teamwork is at the heart of our operation, as mechanics work together to identify critical parts of our product lines that can be improved and ensure the safe working condition of our fleet.

What you’ll do:

About you:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Experience in a similar industry preferred

Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis required

Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred

Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends

Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs

Self-motivated with and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks

A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks
