Mechanic – Bellevue Public Schools (Nebraska)

Applications are being accepted for an 8‑hour per day Mechanic position at the Transportation building.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and inspection of all vehicles owned and/or operated by the school district.
• Maintenance of a safe shop and safe, economically operating vehicles.
• Supervision and/or performance of repairs and maintenance on all aforementioned vehicles.

Required Qualifications

• ASE certified or possess a minimum of two years experience as a diesel/medium duty mechanic.
• School bus experience preferred, but not required.
• Not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned.
• Position is subject to veterans preference.
