Apple Grove Unified Schools is seeking a skilled and dependable School Bus Mechanic to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to student safety, and the ability to work collaboratively within the school community. This role ensures that all district vehicles are maintained in safe and efficient operating condition.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain school buses, trucks, vans, mowers, and other district equipment.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies.
• Provide emergency roadside assistance for district vehicles.
• Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, service, and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist drivers with routine vehicle checks, including fuel, oil, coolant, and tire pressure.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Transport students when required due to staffing needs.
