Job summary

Lake County is seeking a maintenance technician to perform skilled preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs. You will inspect machines, determine maintenance needs, and carry out repairs or replacements as required.

Responsibilities include welding/fabricating and operating the necessary equipment and tools to keep systems running efficiently. A high school diploma or GED and a valid Class A CDL are required.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing skilled work in preventative maintenance and mechanical repair. Responsibilities may include inspecting machines for maintenance needs; determining and conducting appropriate maintenance, repair or replacement work; welding/fabricating; and operating applicable equipment and tools.

Work Test Period:

Appointee to the position must successfully complete probationary period per contract.

Applicants selected for appointment must pass a criminal background check.

Drug Testing:

Applicants selected for appointment must take and pass a drug test.

Physical-Medical Standards:

Applicants must meet essential physical requirements of the position.
