Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies in Florida is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction and agricultural equipment. You will perform diagnostics, basic to advanced repairs, and follow Safety rules to ensure reliable operation.

Join a team that values hands-on skills and uses Service Advisor software. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma are required; forklift license preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs on heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment.
• Ability to perform basic and advanced repairs using Technical Manual Procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics and reports on equipment.
• Participate in training programs to develop skills.
• Maintain knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Follow safety rules and regulations in performing work tasks.
• Complete all reports and forms required for work assignments.
• Account for time and materials in timekeeping systems.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job description

Overview

Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned heavy construction and agricultural equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Shop Foreman or senior technicians.

Job Duties

• Perform basic diagnostics and reports on construction and/or agricultural equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
• Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and Competitive products.
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Account for all time in the time keeping systems and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs on heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment.
• Ability to perform basic and advanced repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual Procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Basic Service Technician certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Fork lift license preferred.
