Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies in Middleburg Heights, OH, is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural and turf equipment. You will work under supervision with guidance from the Service Manager and senior technicians.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of service experience, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and a valid driver's license. Basic computer and Service Advisor proficiency required. Must pass pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience performing service repairs.
• Ability to perform basic repairs following Technical Manual Procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in ag and turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostics and reports on agricultural and turf equipment and AMS products.
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill development.
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains vehicle, inventory, tools and equipment condition.
• Follows safety rules in performing work.
• Completes reports and forms for work assignments.
• Accounts for all time and materials used.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

• Performs basic diagnostics and reports on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and Competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time in the time keeping systems and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• 3+ Years experience performing service repairs
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual Procedures
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly
• Basic Service Technician certification preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Fork lift license preferred
