Job summary

Eco Material Technologies, a CRH Company, seeks a hands-on Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair machinery and mobile equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will identify problems with diagnostic tools, perform repairs or replacements, and develop preventive maintenance programs to keep assets running reliably.

The role requires the ability to work independently or with a team, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must have technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other pertinent operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify problems with machinery or mobile equipment using diagnostic tools and knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance and develop PM programs to keep machinery running smoothly.
• Generate work orders and close them in operating systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand layout and function.
• Use a wide range of tools from wrenches to diagnostic equipment and power tools.
• May work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other mechanics, engineers, and technicians.
• Keep work area clean and organized for safety and efficiency.
• May be required to be on-call.
• Install equipment and machinery as needed.
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

A mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues in machinery or mobile equipment. They use diagnostic tools and their own expertise to identify problems, and then perform repairs or replace parts as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately identify problems with machinery or mobile equipment using diagnostic tools and their own knowledge of mechanical systems
• Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary
• Perform preventive maintenance and develop PM programs to keep machinery and mobile equipment running smoothly and prevent future issues
• Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems
• Refer to and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand the layout and function of various mechanical systems
• Use wide range of tools, from simple wrenches and screwdrivers to more complex diagnostic equipment and power tools
• May work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other mechanics, engineers, and technicians to complete projects
• Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency
• May be required to be on-call
• Install equipment and machinery as needed.
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational or technical training certificate or associate's degree in related field a plus
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with various levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must have technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, manual dexterity, and attention to detail
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other pertinent operating systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• The hourly pay range is $30-35/hr
