Position: Mechanic

Working as a Mechanic with Krise Transportation, you will be recognized as a critical member of the team that forms the essential link between students and schools. • Maintenance mechanics play an essential role in the lives of our drivers and the children they serve. Our Mechanics go above and beyond to ensure that vehicles are maintained in top shape and are always in safe operating condition.

How Do I Start? What is Required?

• Fill out the on-line application and a Company representative will call you to get the process started!
• Must have your own basic hand tools (Company provides major equipment such as diagnostic scan tools)
• You must have or be willing to get a Class 7 PA Inspection License
• You must have (or we will provide you free training to get):
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger, School Bus and Air Brake Endorsements.
• Must have and maintain the following to be able to drive a school van or bus:
  • A satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records
  • A satisfactory criminal history and child abuse history checks as required by law and the Pennsylvania Department of Education
  • Passing an initial and routine annual school bus driver physical w/ tuberculosis testing as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
  • Participate in and pass pre-employment and on-going random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment
