Solution One Industries Ltd. in Fort Benning, GA seeks a qualified Mechanic to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tactical equipment and wheeled vehicles.

You will diagnose issues, train junior technicians, and maintain both paper and electronic maintenance records to ensure mission readiness. A secret clearance and valid driver’s license are required, with the ability to operate forklifts and heavy vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on tactical equipment and wheeled vehicles.
• Diagnose malfunctions and train lower grade workers on repairs.
• Prepare storage and mobility deployment; operate, inspect, and service towing vehicles.
• Maintain vehicle records, including paper and electronic equipment records.
• Conduct thorough inspections of engines, transmissions, powertrain, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
• Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety.
• Provide on-the-job training as needed.
• Handle maintenance-related admin tasks and dispatch service.

For opportunities in your area, check out our Careers page at www.1soi.com/careers.Duties/Responsibilities:This position is responsible for all repairs, preventative maintenance to include initial and final inspections on Tactical Equipment.The Mechanic diagnoses malfunctions and repairs vehicles, advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repair of less complex repair/maintenance problems,This mechanic prepares storage and mobility deployment; and operates, cleans, inspects, and services towing vehicles. In addition to maintaining vehicle records, this mechanic maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records, providing dispatch service for equipmentConduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components.Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles in optimal condition.Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality.Supervise and professionally develop subordinates.Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting.Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety.Conduct on-the-job training as needed.Minimum Qualifications:Possess a secret security clearance prior to beginning support of this effort and maintain said clearance throughout duration of support of this effort.Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain appropriate special license/certification for equipment to be operated to include but not limited to forklifts and 15K truck.Possess excellent work ethics, verbal and written communication skills and be detailed and accurate in performing all administrative and routine functions.Be able to work in an environment that is fast paced while completing multiple tasks and meeting stringent timelines.
