RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Mechanic for the POWER PLANT - WSC at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. The role involves maintaining and repairing hospital facilities equipment, assisting tradespeople, and ensuring safe operation of mechanical systems.

The shift is night, hours 11:00pm to 7:30am, full-time, with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2–3 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists tradesman or leadsman with special projects as needed.
• Installs and repairs locks, doors, windows and screens.
• Performs general carpentry work.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on non-clinical hospital equipment, and inspects the equipment for safety.
• Repairs or replaces broken or worn parts as required.
• Repairs and troubleshoots plumbing fixtures, sinks, toilets, and drain lines.
• Repairs, maintains, nurse call systems and tube systems though out hospital.

Job Overview

The RWJBH Mechanic performs a wide variety of maintenance duties in and around the buildings of the Medical Center complex. Occasionally, assists tradesmen and other workers in completing tasks, Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and two to three years of relevant work experience.

• Full-Time, Nights
• 11:00pm-7:30am

Essential Functions
