Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old with a good driving history.
• Must obtain or possess an IL state-issued Class C CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Must meet all D.O.T. physical requirements.
• Submit to and pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
• Able to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess own tools.
• Have proof of ASE certification or completion of Automotive/Diesel repair from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on transit bus vehicles.
• Test and determine malfunctions using instruments and gauges.
• Inspect, repair, and adjust various bus components and systems.
• Prepare written reports verifying repair work.
• Maintain inventory and stock records.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks regarding preventative maintenance of transit bus vehicles
• Use instruments and gauges, including computers, to test and determine system malfunctions
• Inspect, align, replace, adjust, and repair various bus components and systems
• Prepare written reports and verify that work repair was done with documentation
• Maintain inventory and records on stock parts and supplies

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age with good driving history
