Job summary

SavATree Bozeman is seeking a full-time Mechanic to ensure all fleet equipment is ready and operating efficiently through proactive maintenance and repairs. The role may require travel to the Billings Branch up to two days per week.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, order parts, and train field staff on safe operation. CDL is preferred and a DOT Medical Card may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke engine maintenance.
• Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift (bucket) trucks.
• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps.
• Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with Managers and field specialists.
• Review Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work and address issues promptly.

• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop and yard.

Position Summary

As a Mechanic at SavATree, your focus will be ensuring all equipment and vehicles are ready and operating efficiently through proper maintenance and repairs.

A typical day may include: 25% travel required, up to 2 days a week to our Billings Branch.

• Performing preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment
• Coordinating repairs and maintenance with Managers and field specialists

About You

You’re dedicated to quality work, safety, and maintaining equipment at peak performance. You bring:

• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

• Welding experience a plus
• ASE certification a plus
• Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
