Job summary

BV WASH AND SERVICE INC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Bakersfield, CA to perform general vehicle maintenance on trucks, engines and components. You will identify components, complete minor repairs and participate in preventive maintenance with guidance from the team.

The role requires at least 1 year of diesel engine repair experience, mechanical know-how, and a preference for welding experience and a Class C license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience with diesel engine repair.
• Mechanical experience required.
• Some welding experience is preferred.
• Class C driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general vehicle maintenance of all trucks, engines, and components.
• Perform component identification and minor repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance with training and support.
• Repair electrical problems, air leaks and ABS systems.
• Repair and replace lights.
• Lubing and greasing.
• Change coolant, oil and filter.
• Change fittings.
• Inspect and replace bearings.
• Ensure cleanliness of the shop.
