Job summary

Hull's Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a diesel mechanic responsible for inspection, maintenance, and repairs of our company vehicles. The role requires performing routine maintenance, safety-related repairs, and ensuring fleet records are up to date.

Applicants should have 3+ years in the mechanic trade, own their tools, and be able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions. CDL is preferred, ASE certification a plus, and heavy lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the mechanic trade, handling small and large vehicles/equipment.
• ASE certification is a plus and CDL preferred.
• Must own tools; company may purchase specialty tools.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Lifts heavy objects and performs manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform routine maintenance on company vehicles.
• Schedule and ensure safety-related repairs and driver-requested repairs daily.
• Keep fleet records, work orders, and parts/equipment documentation.
• Enforce fleet safety practices and DOT compliance.
• Be willing to work beyond normal hours including nights/weekends.

Hull's is looking for a diesel mechanic who is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repairs of company vehicles.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule and ensure required inspections of company vehicles are performed and meet the desired standard
• Perform routine maintenance/repairs on company vehicles crucial to the safe operation of the fleet
• Schedule and ensure that all safety related repairs and driver requested repairs are performed daily
• Protect the health and welfare of all employees by enforcing best fleet safety practices
• Keep tools, equipment and shop area clean and organized and in good working condition
• Complete and submit company forms; work orders, purchased parts/equipment, fleet records, etc.
• Must be willing to work beyond normal work hours, must be available for night-time/weekend work
• Understand and comply with all DOT regulations and applicable laws
• Comply with on-going and random drug testing/physicals as required by the Company

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 3 years in the mechanic trade; to include small and large vehicles and equipment. ASE certification a plus
• Must have own tools (company to purchase specialty tools)
• Commercial Driver License with clean driving record preferred
• Must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles
• Work requires heavy lifting, manual labor
