Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Summer 2027 Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the United States Postal Service Central Repair Facility contract. This position will be located in Topeka, KS and will be onsite.

Responsibilities include basic mechanical engineering, motor design, electromechanical control theory, CAD, and 3D modeling. The internship is full-time for at least 10 weeks and requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance.
• Must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduate after August 2027.
• Major in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher (transcripts required).
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027.
• Must be local to Topeka, KS or able to commute onsite.
