Job summary

Richardson Cooling Packages in New Castle, PA seeks a Mech. Design Engineer to design and modify heat exchangers, sheet-metal parts, hoses and piping using Creo and DFM. You will create and maintain 3D models, drawings and BOMs, and manage revisions with a PLM system.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience accepted (part-time, internship or project work).
• Experience with ASME/ISO standards is beneficial.
• Proficient in Creo or other CAD tools and CAD drafting.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify heat exch., sheet metal components, hoses and pipes using Creo and DFM.
• Create and maintain 3D models, technical drawings and BOM; manage revs with PLM.
• Perform heat transfer and thermal simulations to support specs and design improvements.
• Ensure ISO 9001 design controls, change mgt and CAPA while keeping eng. docs accurate.
• Lead projects through all phases; coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams.

Mech. Design Eng., Richardson Cooling Packages, New Castle, PA. Design & modify heat exch., sheet metal comp., hoses, pipes using Creo & DFM princ. Create & main. 3D models, tech. drawings, BOM, manage rev. with PLM sys. Perform heat transfer & thermal sims to sup. prod. Specs & design impr.. Ensure compl. with ISO 9001 design controls, change mgt, CAPA, while maint. accurate eng. doc. Lead projects all phases of execution, manage sched., deliv., purchasing, costing. Support prototype dev., test, validation, & collab. with manufac. & quality teams to resolve design issues. Dev. Excel-based tools for eng. calcs. Coord. with cust. & domestic/internl vendors for scope def., sourcing, fabr., quote ,& feasibility assess. Bachelors Mechanical Eng. & 6 mths exp. (partime, internship & project work accepted) in DFM principles, creating 3D models, prep. of tech. drawings in accord. with ASME/ISO standards, dev. BOMs, cost model. using Excel & vendor coord.
