Job Title: Meat Wrapper II

Department: Meat

Reports to: Meat Manager / Assistant Meat Manager

Starting rate of pay: $17.56/hr

Position Summary

Wraps and displays quality meat department products while providing standard customer service.

Job Duties

• Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact.
• Stocks and rotates meat items to maintain freshness and quality, removes damaged items from cases.
• Packs meat products on trays, then forwards to wrapping.
• Operates wrapping machine, checks it for working order, maintains price integrity.
• Completes basic cleaning of department, by washing and sanitizing work tools and area.
• Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager.

Capabilities

• Stand for long periods of time, very frequent walking back and forth from meat/seafood warehouse to floor.
• Carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 1000 pounds, frequent motions with arms/hands to display products.
• Use of proper safety procedures.
• Able to listen to directions and follow through independently.
• Have good communication and observation skills.
• Able to work with a team and independently when needed.

Job Skills

• Previous experience working with the public.

Environment

Air condition while in store, 40-50 degrees while working in the meat department, freezer and chill.
