Job summary

ShopRite of Bruckner Blvd in Bronx is hiring a Meat Wrapper Clerk to wrap, package, scale, and price mark merchandise in the Meat Department; maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing area. You will also stock, rotate, and display products while following QA and safety guidelines.

The job requires lifting up to 90 lbs occasionally, standing long shifts, and providing friendly customer service in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak English and understand basic math.
• Capable of lifting 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Able to stand, bend, and work in varying temperatures.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, package, scale, and price mark merchandise in Meat Department.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department.
• Stock merchandise and display cases; check refrigeration equipment.
• Complete required reports and maintain sanitation per policy.
• Follow safety, QA, and shrink guidelines; assist in product rotation.
• Interact with customers to promote sales and provide service.
