Job summary

ShopRite of Pelham Parkway in Pelham, NY is hiring a Meat Wrapper Clerk to provide a great customer experience while wrapping, packaging, scaling, and price marking merchandise in the Meat Department. You will help keep the department neat, clean, and compliant with safety standards.

The role requires English proficiency, basic math, ability to lift up to 90 lbs occasionally, and the stamina to stand for long shifts in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 35 lbs., and occasionally lift 80-90 lbs.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without negative allergic consequences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Wrap, package, scale, and price mark merchandise.
• Stock merchandise and display cases.
• Check refrigeration equipment and report issues.
• Complete required reports including daily sales and inventory.
• Follow safety policies and QA standards.
