ShopRite in Bottino NJ is seeking a Meat Wrapper Clerk to deliver a great customer experience by wrapping, packaging, scaling, and price marking meat products. Maintain a neat and safe department and support stock and display tasks.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 90 lbs, and adhering to food safety standards in a refrigerated environment, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Must stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 35 lbs., occasionally 80-90 lbs.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time/attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, package, scale, and price mark merchandise in the Meat Department.
• Maintain a neat, clean and visually appealing department.
• Stock merchandise and display cases.
• Check prices and know item locations in the store.
• Promote charitable promotions to Customers.
• Follow safety, QA, and sanitation standards as required by policy.
• Dress and groom according to company policy.
