Responsibilities:
- Prepare and display merchandise neatly, efficiently, and in an organized manner.
- Check product quality; ensure freshness, safety, and proper rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in sales areas, backrooms, and coolers.
- Keep carts, tools, and supplies in designated areas; ensure floors are clean, safe, and clutter-free.
- Manage display cases to ensure proper inventory levels and freshness; unload trucks, sort, and prepare merchandise.
- Provide excellent customer and associate relations.
- Wash and sanitize equipment following company and health department policies.
- Maintain a friendly and professional appearance and demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Promptly and cheerfully assist customers, greet them, and help find products.
- Follow all applicable rules, laws, and regulations related to the job, including food safety and employment laws.
- Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly; be punctual, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional.
- Adhere to company policies on dress code, grooming, sanitation, and harassment/discrimination policies.
- Maintain equipment and facilities safely and properly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Willing and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and labels.
- Qualified to operate power tools such as wrappers, slicers, grinders, saws, etc.
- Work safely with cleaning chemicals.
- Team player in a fast-paced environment; willing to assist others.
- Handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
Desired:
- Experience in meat cutting or food preparation.
- Dependable and trustworthy work history.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (OSHA, food handling, etc.).
