Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Specialist for our Marshall, MN store. The role focuses on cutting, tenderizing, grinding and merchandising fresh meat, while delivering friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow safety guidelines, prepare cutting lists, monitor refrigeration, and assist customers with location and requests. High school or equivalent and Hy-Vee food safety training are preferred; 1+ year of related experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; Hy-Vee food safety training required or preferred.
• Over one year of related work experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and assist customers in locating products.
• Tenderize, grind, and cut merchandise; prepare cutting lists for case fills and conduct cutting tests.
• Monitor refrigeration temperatures and ensure compliance with department guidelines; wrap, weigh and label products.
• Report to work on schedule and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced environment.
