Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Meat Team Leader to oversee the Meat and Seafood departments, ensuring quality merchandising, scheduling, and pricing. You will lead team members, conduct staffing interviews, and uphold sanitation standards while driving financial performance.

The role requires hands-on supervision, training, and process adherence to Meijer's standards. This position is based in our Cleveland area stores and involves day-to-day leadership and team development.

Qualifications

• Experience in grocery/meat department preferred.
• Ability to manage day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram, and pricing in Meat/Seafood.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Achieve financial performance goals in Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conduct interviews to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Train Meat team members to build a high-performance team and reduce turnover.
• Write and manage Meat schedules to meet service levels and control expenses.
• Ensure Real Time Apply is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain signing execution and pricing accuracy.
• Ensure sanitation and safety procedures are followed.
• Control inventory shrinkage via BOH accuracy and rotation guidelines.
• Respond to MITS tasks in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
