Meijer Inc. is opening a new Glen Carbon/Edwardsville store and seeks a Meat/Seafood Supervisor to lead the daily merchandising, stocking, product flow, planograms, and pricing for the Meat and Seafood departments. You will directly supervise the Meat team and contribute to a high-performance, customer-focused operation.

The role emphasizes staffing, scheduling, financial performance, sanitation, and safety, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and community service as we launch this new location.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising grocery Meat/Seafood or similar departments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage schedules and inventory controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive image by delivering courteous, efficient service to customers and team members.
• Achieve financial performance goals in Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conduct interviews to maintain staffing levels.
• Train Meat team members to build a high-performance team and reduce turnover.
• Write and manage Meat schedules to balance service and expenses.
• Ensure Real Time Apply is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain pricing accuracy and proper signing.
• Ensure sanitation and safety procedures are followed.
• Control inventory shrinkage and manage rotation guidelines.
• Complete MITS tasks promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking an engaged Meat/Seafood Supervisor for our new location! Our Meat Seafood Supervisor will be responsible for the execution of all aspects of day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram, and pricing of the Meat and Seafood departments. The Meat Seafood Supervisor is directly responsible for Meat team members.

What You'll be Doing:

• Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for achieving financial performance goals in both Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conducts interviews to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved.
• Trains Meat team members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Writes and manages Meat schedules in order to achieve first class service levels while achieving expense control objectives.
• Ensures Real Time Apply is completed accurately and according to Meijer timelines.
• Ensures both signing execution and pricing accuracy are maintained.
• Accountable for Meijer sanitation and safety procedures.
• Controls and manages inventory shrinkage through BOH accuracy, use of production planners, and adherence to rotation guidelines.
• Reacts to and completes MITS tasks in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
