Meijer is preparing to open a new Meijer supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL, serving the greater St. Louis Metro Area in Spring 2027. We seek an engaged Meat/Seafood Supervisor to drive merchandising, stocking, pricing and team leadership from day one.

You will manage schedules, ensure pricing accuracy and sanitation, and lead a high-performance Meat team while controlling costs and supporting community service goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail meat/seafood department preferred.
• Ability to lead and train team members for high performance.
• Strong customer service and merchandising skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram and pricing for Meat and Seafood.
• Directly supervise Meat team members and ensure staffing levels meet needs.
• Write and manage Meat schedules to balance service levels and costs.
• Ensure signing, pricing accuracy and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Control inventory shrinkage and adhere to rotation guidelines.
• Complete Real Time Apply and other Timely tasks per Meijer timelines.

We are seeking an engaged Meat/Seafood Supervisor for our new location!

Our Meat Seafood Supervisor will be responsible for the execution of all aspects of day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram, and pricing of the Meat and Seafood departments. The Meat Seafood Supervisor is directly responsible for Meat team members.

What You'll be Doing:

• Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for achieving financial performance goals in both Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conducts interviews to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved.
• Trains Meat team members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Writes and manages Meat schedules in order to achieve first class service levels while achieving expense control objectives.
• Ensures Real Time Apply is completed accurately and according to Meijer timelines.
• Ensures both signing execution and pricing accuracy are maintained.
• Accountable for Meijer sanitation and safety procedures.
• Controls and manages inventory shrinkage through BOH accuracy, use of production planners, and adherence to rotation guidelines.
• Reacts to and completes MITS tasks in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

The pay range for this position is listed below.

$22.50 - $34.40

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Your specific pay rate within this range will be based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team you'll be joining.
