Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a Meat & Seafood Team member to assist daily operations, ensuring fresh, high-quality products and courteous service. The role emphasizes accurate packaging, proper handling, and efficient service while supporting a diverse, inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines, maintaining product temperatures and cleanliness, and assisting with inventory and customer requests as needed. Varied shifts expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States or able to obtain.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• 0-3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cutting, traying, wrapping, and labeling meat products.
• Spanish language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment to increase customer confidence and loyalty.
• Prepare and package meat, seafood, random weight, lunch meat, frozen food and salted meats to production standards.
• Operate department equipment and fulfill customer requests and special orders.
• Promote trust and teamwork, communicate information, and adhere to laws and guidelines.
• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and minimize waste; manage inventory and recalls as needed.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with USDA, COOL, and DOA requirements.
