Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat & Seafood Clerk to keep meat cases clean and stocked, assist shoppers, and ensure product labeling and safety standards. You will weigh and wrap products, help customers select items, and maintain department organization throughout shifts.

The role emphasizes high service levels, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced grocery setting with health and safety guidelines to follow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Meat department processes.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep meat and seafood cases clean and stocked during store hours.
• Assist customers with purchases and provide friendly service.
• Weigh, label and wrap products, and ensure accurate pricing and dating.
• Operate meat department equipment (knives, scales, wrappers) safely.
• Monitor temperatures and maintain sanitation and safety across the department.
• Support pre-inventory prep and back stock as needed.
