Job summary

New Seasons Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the Meat and Seafood department. You will prep, stock, cut, weigh and wrap department products while delivering exceptional customer service.

Role requires flexibility for evening, weekend and holiday shifts, with adherence to food safety trainings and company policies. You will work in a collaborative team environment and help maintain product quality and store appearance.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, retail or grocery experience preferred.
• Basic knife skills preferred, with ability to learn and properly use knives in a commercial setting.
• Knowledge of Meat/Seafood departments is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Meat and Seafood department for store opening and closing.
• Assists customers with product selection and makes recommendations based on needs.
• Cuts, weighs, prices and presents Meat and Seafood products.
• Stocks and maintains meat and seafood cases and rotates products.
• Completes special orders and handles packaging and labeling.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper pricing/signage according to merchandising standards.
• Follows safety policies and reports issues to management.
