Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, vendors, and associates who speak English.
• Math skills: add/subtract two-digit numbers and calculate with money and weights.
• Certificates, licenses, registrations: company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, safety, and product knowledge.
• Physical demands: stand, lift up to 100 pounds with assistive devices; work in cool environment 34-36°F.
• Work environment: cool, wet/humid, very cold, noisy.

Responsibilities

• Process, package, and stock meat products according to Meat Standards.
• Clean work areas and unload stock; reload salvage.
• Provide customer service at the front or meat department.
• Perform duties of seafood clerk when assigned.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support store operations.
