Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking friendly, service-oriented individuals to join our Meat Department team. You will fill orders for meat, seafood, and cremeria products, stock displays, and uphold high food-safety standards in a fast-paced setting. Excellent customer service, teamwork, and accurate labeling are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, crowded retail environment
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Basic understanding of English
• Ability to learn product codes and uses

Responsibilities

• Smile, greet, and assist customers with extraordinary service.
• Model Vallarta’s core values: customer service, commitment, integrity, respect, humility, and teamwork.
• Achieve and maintain merchandising, presentation, signage, inventory, and price integrity.
• Fill customer orders accurately, package, weigh, and label products.
• Rotate and stock products in display cases and coolers; maintain freshness and quality.
• Promote sales through suggestive selling and preparation of marinated meats and vegetables.
• Maintain cases, counters, and displays clean, organized, and presentable.
• Ensure compliance with state and company weights, measures, and labeling laws.
• Monitor case temperatures and report discrepancies to management.
• Assist with sanitation processes, cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Work safely, using protective equipment, and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Treat coworkers and customers respectfully; follow company policies and dress codes.
• Do not operate equipment without proper training or authorization.
• Support teamwork by assisting coworkers and communicating with management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
