Job summary

Harris Teeter is hiring for a part-time Meat Clerk to process, package, and stock meat products following Meat Standards. You will keep work areas clean, assist customers, unload stock, and reload salvage as needed. When assigned, you may also perform seafood clerk duties.

The role requires basic education, ability to lift heavy items, and strong interpersonal skills to support the store team and customer satisfaction. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience: high school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language: ability to read and comprehend instructions in English; write simple correspondence in English.
• Physical demands: ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Process, package, and stock meat products according to Meat Standards.
• Clean work areas and unload stock; reload salvage as required.
• Provide customer service and assist with duties as seafood clerk when assigned.
