Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our team. You will provide top-notch customer service, handle meat products, and ensure safe food handling while working in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
• Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Able to stand up to 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to lift/carry 25–90 lbs. and move pallets up to 500 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and assist with questions and special orders.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; rotate meats to prevent aging.
• Follow safety, health, and weights & measures regulations in daily tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations.
• Follow 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs and departmental guidelines.
