Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat & Seafood Clerk to keep cases clean, stocked, and inviting while assisting customers with purchases and product selection at the meat counter. The role emphasizes accurate pricing, product rotation, and adherence to health and safety standards in a busy store environment.

You will operate knives and scales, weigh meats, wrap items, and help with inventory, promotions, and back-stock tasks. A high school diploma and 1–2 years in grocery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep meat and seafood cases clean, stocked, and organized.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection at the meat counter.
• Ensure product rotation and accurate pricing per department schematics.
• Inspect and log shipments for temperature and quality.
• Monitor signage, recipes, coupons, and promos in the department.
• Operate equipment like knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks.
• Maintain proper temperatures during meat and seafood production.
• Prepare meat and seafood items with correct ingredients and timings.
• Rotate and store products in coolers and freezers.
• Wrap and label products with correct weights and dating procedures.
• Participate in pre-inventory and back stock prep.
• Walk the department to ensure cleanliness and organization.
