Overview

Available Work Shifts OR Days and Times Team Members Must be Available to Work

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 3pm-10pm

Length of Time Sprouts anticipates requiring coverage of these hours

For Team Members currently in this position seeking additional hours: Sign the sign-up sheet to express interest.

For Team Members interested in a different role: Follow the existing internal application process via the Electronic Internal Job Board or request a paper application from the Administrative Coordinator.

Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk, you will:

• Provide high-level customer service and practice safe food handling.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport meats from delivery trucks.
• Count, weigh, and compare incoming articles against invoices.
• Examine and rotate meats to prevent aging.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and assist customers with product locations.
• Follow procedures like “Clean as You Go” and “Fresh at 4”.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Meat Clerk, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable, reliable, and perform related duties as needed.
• Have an outgoing, friendly attitude and good communication skills.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties.
• Adhere to safety, health, weights, measures, and company guidelines.
• Stand for up to 8 hours, walk up to 2 miles, and lift/carry up to 90 lbs.
• Work in temperature-controlled environments and use sharp tools safely.
