Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk, you'll work in a key store department, providing high-quality customer service, practicing safe food handling, and demonstrating product knowledge and preparation skills. Your duties include receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery trucks; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging; assisting customers with questions and special orders; and maintaining cleanliness according to store programs like 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4'. Adherence to departmental procedures and a fast-paced work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic math skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform related duties as needed.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Capable of standing for up to 8 hours, walking up to 2 miles, and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 90 lbs., using a pallet jack, and moving racks and tables.
• Good vision for working with sharp tools and equipment.

Pay Range

$16.70 - $22.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
