Peoplelink, LLC in Hudsonville, MI is seeking a Meat Processor for a contract-to-hire role. 1st Shift: 6:00am-3:00pm (Mon-Fri), with 6:00am-4:00pm during busy season. Pay: $19-$24/hr.

Responsible for butchering and fabricating beef, processing cattle, and ensuring food safety throughout production. Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, stamina to stand all day, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working in a cold environment with strong odors.

Meat Processor Overview

• 1 st Shift: 6:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday
• 6:00am-4:00pm during busy season
• $19-$24/hr

Meat Processor Job Duties

• Responsible for butchering and fabricating cleaned sides of beef into retail and wholesale cuts
• Responsible for processing cattle into sides of beef through various stages of the harvest process.
• Skinning, cleaning, beheading, and splitting carcasses into halves
• Trimming fat, separating primal and sub-primal cuts, and deboning of meat
• Portioning meat according to specifications, and preparing products for packaging and distribution
• Safely and efficiently use knives, saws, and other meat-processing equipment while maintaining strict food safety, quality, and sanitation standards

Meat Processor Qualifications

• Previous experience in meat cutting, butchering, meat processing, or food production is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a cold, refrigerated environment with strong odors
