Job summary

Meijer in Illinois is seeking a Meat Team Member to assist in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind, following the production schedule to meet advertised fresh meat cuts.

You will write fresh meat orders, organize and check in deliveries, and maintain positive relationships with customers, team members and leadership while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

This position assists in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. The individual also follows the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts.

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.

$21.00 - $24.00
