Job summary

JBS is hiring a General Production team member in Omaha, NE to support the harvest floor. You will unload and segregate live animals, stun them humanely, remove hides, and prepare products for customer orders.

You will weigh product, break down carcasses, trim to spec, and ship orders using lifts and storage areas. This role requires standing for long periods, working in extreme temperatures, and adhering to safety protocols around knives, hooks, and machinery.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing preferred but not required.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures with moving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Unload and segregate live animals for harvesting.
• Stun animals humanely for harvest floor entry.
• Remove hides using knives and powered equipment.
• Harvest blood on the harvest floor for customer prep.
• Trim carcasses free of contaminants and harvest offal.
• Weigh product to ensure proper payment from producers and customers.
• Break down carcasses and prepare primals per customer specs.
• Trim product to customer specifications and pack/ship accordingly.
