Home Place Pastures LLC in Como, MS is seeking a hands-on meat processing team member. The role involves breaking beef and pork carcasses, cutting and trimming meat into primals and retail cuts, and maintaining clean, safe production areas. Training is provided if you lack prior butchery experience.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, require reliable transportation, and must adhere to HACCP and safety protocols while contributing to a cooperative production team.

Qualifications

• Butchery experience preferred but not necessary – onsite training is provided.
• Knowledge of beef and hog anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Arrives to work on time, dressed in proper attire, and ready to work
• Follows all sanitation and safety protocols, SOPs, and HACCP guidelines
• Performs opening and closing duties, pre-operational cleaning, and maintains equipment
• Effectively breaks carcasses; cuts and trims meat into primals and retail cuts as specified
• Cleans coolers; coordinates with production to empty coolers before sanitation, rinse, degrease, scrub, rinse, and sanitize
• Cleans production rooms; after shift, follows cleaning procedures and sanitizes surfaces
• Assist Production Supervisor with responsibilities and packaging meats and building boxes
