Home Place Pastures LLC in Como, MS is hiring for a fast-paced meat processing role. You will break beef and pork carcasses, cut, trim, debone, and portion meat, operating grinders, band saws, knives, vacuum sealers, and scales. Onsite training is provided and reliable transportation is required.

Hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and benefits including health insurance and 401(k). The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and precision in a cold, wet environment.

Qualifications

• Butchery experience preferred but not required; onsite training provided.
• Knowledge of beef and hog anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Arrives on time in proper attire and ready to work.
• Follows sanitation, safety protocols, SOPs, and HACCP plan.
• Performs opening/closing duties and pre-operational cleaning; maintains equipment.
• Breaks carcasses and cuts meat into primals and retail cuts as specified.
• Cleans coolers and coordinates with production to manage carcasses before sanitation.
• Maintains clean production rooms; follows post-shift cleaning procedures and sanitizes surfaces.
• Assists Production Supervisor and other departments as needed, including packaging meats.
