Job summary

You will train staff on cleaning techniques, manage records, perform regular inspections, and collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to continuously improve cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, additional sanitation/safety training desirable.
• Experience in sanitation or safety roles in meat processing or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of USDA, FDA, OSHA regulations related to sanitation and safety.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify hazards in fast-paced plants.
• Excellent communication to train staff and enforce procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce sanitation and safety policies aligned with regulations.
• Inspect facility, lines, and equipment to identify hazards and implement actions.
• Supervise cleaning, sanitizing, and hygiene across production areas.
• Train employees on proper sanitation, PPE, and chemical handling.
• Ensure lockout/tagout procedures are followed during maintenance.
• Conduct audits and provide coaching to improve compliance.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with production, QA, and maintenance teams.
